Elaveezha Poonchira literally means the pond of flowers in which no leaf ever falls.

A misty picnic spot located midst beautiful hillocks near Kanjar/Malankara Dam. Its around 20 km from Thodupuzha and easily accessible from Palai in Kottayam district. Surrounded by three enchanting hillocks - Mankunnu, Kodayathoormala and Thonippara makes this place ideal for trekking. A twenty minutes drive from Thodupuzha will take you to Kanjar. Deviating another 8 KM through narrow road will take you to this celebrated spot of unparalleled scenic beauty. The last 1 km needs to be trekked/walked thru mud road.

Alert:- The spot becomes dangerous to visit if there is lighting & thunder as we are kissing the clouds !!!

At this waterfalls, a man named 'Thomman' tried to put Jackfruit from a tree beside the falls ,but he fell into the waterfalls and died.Thus got the name Thommankuthu Waterfalls.
